Line Tag


Activity Description: 
  • In partners, partner A walks along gym floor lines and partner B  follows; switch leader/follower when teacher calls out.
  • Gradually introduce jogging
  • Finally, while running, follower will try to tag leader while leader is trying to get away. 
Rules: 
  • Stay on lines and do not jump lines. 
  • Keep head up, and if you run into someone, you must turn around or go down another line.

  • Use as a warm-up.
  • Gradually increase intensity.
  • Use cones to mark the space, and make space smaller if students are progressing quickly.
